Jame DiBiasio and Chris Ryan are the co-founders of DigFin.
Jame serves as editor of DigFin. He has been a financial journalist, writer and editor since 1995. He got his start in New York as a cub reporter at Institutional Investor News. After moving to Hong Kong in 1997, he co-founded AsianInvestor, the leading asset-management publication in Asia. He also served as editorial director at Haymarket Financial Media, setting strategy for AsianInvestor, FinanceAsia and The Corporate Treasurer. He is the first person in Asia Pacific to be recognized for his ‘outstanding contribution to institutional journalism’, the top prize in State Street’s institutional press awards (2012).
Chris Ryan is commercial director at DigFin. He has built, led and advised data, asset management and banking businesses in Asia Pacific since 1983. His most recent role was managing director for Asia Pacific at MSCI, where he served from 2012 to 2017. His longest role was as Asia-Pac CEO at ING Investment Management (2000-2007). He has also served as CEO at Perpetual in Australia; as a managing director at Fidelity International; as a senior advisor to Citibank’s securities and fund services business in Asia; and as regional managing director at HSBC Asset Management.
We are as excited about building a great journalistic enterprise as we are about covering the (sometimes) amazing developments in fintech.
DigFin is seeking individuals who share that passion. We are looking to hire or partner with people in the major financial and technology centers, for both editorial and commercial roles. If you are interested in playing a part, please email us at email@example.com.
